GENERIC FOLK

UPCOMING GIGS

Winter Break

Jan - ? 2009

We're on break for a while for the Winter, cooking up some new Folk and resting a bit. Check out our Band Notes for what we've been up to (and what we're up to now) and keep checking back here for new gigs in 2009.

Happy New Year!

Check out our BAND NOTES section to see what we've been up to, how the shows have gone, and crazy stuff we do when we're not playing music. We first formed up as a band during February of 2005, and the Notes section goes all the way back to late that year. Hey, it's better than reading your cereal box in the morning!

Coming in 2009, we're going to add an actual blog to this site ... watch for it! This will be a normal, moderated blog with comment sections for you to talk back, share, etc. The subject could be music ... or politics, theology, random musings ... you never know! Mostly it will be the Folk doing the posting, but we may have some occasional guest-bloggers. Just more Folk fun!

It's who we are. It's what we do.

Given the state of the economy, it's now $7 for a CD or 2 for $10

Folks are struggling ... and we are too! But that's no reason not to have good folk music. Drop us a line and get a couple, and spread the Folk even in hard times. We're clearing out the last of our inventory ... every CD must go!

Contact us directly for a copy.
Or, it's available locally (North Side Supply, Court St. Pizza, Bower Center, Liberty Chiropractic, Peaks of Otter Gift Shop, and Gross' Orchard)

Who We Are

We're a folk band in the Bedford, Virginia area.
Our music is a blend of traditional acoustic folk, innovative vocals and arrangements, and electric edge.
We've all got day jobs, but music is our passion.
Learn more about who we are.

What We Do

We take a non-traditional approach to folk music. We start with genre material from American folk, folk/rock, Country&Western, Irish, Scottish, Canadian, poems, lyrical ballads, and original songwriters and then spin up our own take on it, using stylistic influences from blues, ragtime, R&B, rock, gospel, Celtic, and the folk ballad tradition.
